AL Model Feeder
The AL model feeder is a technological solution designed for industrial applications that require the pulling or pushing of round wires and flat strips of various shapes, made from ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Thanks to its versatility, the AL feeder is ideal both for facilitating material insertion into different types of machines and as a feeding unit in dedicated wire and profile processing systems.
Applications
The AL model feeder is used in multiple production processes, including:
- Dry drawing machines
- Stamping machines
- Feeding systems for bending machines
- Feeding systems for spring manufacturing machines
- Feeding systems for wire straighteners or profile straightening machines
Key Features
- Modular Structure
The AL feeder is designed to be configured with one, two, or up to three modules, each consisting of an upper and lower roller.
- Available Sizes
- AL6: Equipped with rollers with an outer diameter of 65 mm, designed for wires with a maximum diameter of 6 mm.
- AL12: Equipped with rollers with an outer diameter of 122 mm, designed for wires with a maximum diameter of 20 mm.
- Motion Transmission
The roller movement is ensured by hardened and ground gears, providing precise and reliable transmission with long-lasting durability.
- Opening and Closing Systems
The rollers can be opened and closed in three different ways, depending on operational needs:
- Hydraulic opening
- Pneumatic opening
- Manual opening via an eccentric system
- Groove Finishing and Customization
The roller grooves are machined and polished after heat treatment, ensuring a perfect contact surface. Upon request, customized grooves can be made based on the specific profile being processed. Additionally, a double groove option is available on the same roller, allowing for a wider range of diameters to be processed without changing rollers.
Cometo offers the possibility of providing a complete system, including the motorized feeder, electronic system, and wire straightener, to simplify integration into existing production lines.
Operational Advantages
Modularity: Flexible configuration to adapt to different production needs.
Versatility: Compatibility with various material shapes and types (ferrous and non-ferrous).
Reliability: High-quality components, such as hardened and ground gears, ensuring durable and consistent performance.
Efficiency: Customizable grooves and double-groove options to maximize productivity.
