STR Mechanical traverse unit
The STR mechanical traverse unit is used on spooling/take up machines, both in existing operations and in newly built systems. Equipped with pneumatic inversion, it allows a carriage that moves on hardened bars via a toothed pulley belt. Its high reliability allows for continuous operation without maintenance, ensuring precise wire layering.
The STR layering system is available in two sizes:
- STR28 with 30 mm hardened bars, providing 35 kg of translational force.
- STR40 with 40 mm hardened bars, providing 70 kg of translational force.
It is also available with a mechanical speed variator, which allows for adjustable layering pitch based on specific processing requirements.
