The CFRMD rotating die holder by Cometo is specifically designed for use on wire drawing machines, providing an effective solution to enhance die quality and longevity.

- Rotating Motion
The rotational movement of the CFRMD model ensures optimal wire lubrication during its passage through the die and it helps preserve the round shape of the wire and reduces the risk of deformations.
- Soap Box Configurations
- Available with or without a soap box for stearate containment.
- Custom configurations available for liquid lubricant systems, in addition to the standard dry version.
- Cooling Options
- Indirect cooling: No holes in the sleeve, preventing direct contact of water with the die.
- Direct cooling: Sleeve with holes allowing water to directly cool the die, ensuring greater cooling efficiency.
- Wide Range of Sizes
Available in four different sizes, for die diameters ranging from 38 mm to 100 mm:
- CFRMD431: For dies up to 43 mm
- CFRMD551: For dies up to 55 mm
- CFRMD701: For dies up to 70 mm
- CFRMD100: For dies up to 100 mm
- Additional Customizations
On request, Cometo can provide:

How to Order the Correct Model
- Die Size
Specify the outer diameter and total length of the die. For non-standard sizes, a surcharge applies.
- 43×27 mm = CFRMD431
- 53×40 mm = CFRMD551
- 70×40 mm = CFRMD701
- Speed
Specify the desired speed, choosing between:
- Fast model (V)
- Slow model (L)
Refer to the speed table (RPM) on page 3 of the catalog.
- Soap Box
Indicate the presence and type of soap box:
- Without soap box
- With long soap box (CL)
- With short soap box (CC)
Refer to the dimensions on page 2 of the catalog.
- Mounting Version
Specify the desired mounting version:
- Fast models: V1, V2, V3, V4
- Slow models: L1, L2, L3, L4
Mounting variations are illustrated in the drawings on page 3.
- Cooling Type
By default, die holders are supplied with direct cooling.
For indirect cooling (no holes in the sleeve), clearly indicate this in your order.
