ASM/ADM wire straightener

The ASM/ADM wire straightener is a high-precision steel model, designed to achieve excellent straightening accuracy thanks to hundredth-millimeter tolerances. For this reason, it is recommended for spring and screw manufacturing machines, wire bending machines, and other specialized processing applications where precision is critical.

The ASM/ADM model is suitable for straightening wires with diameters ranging from 0.3 mm to 16.00 mm, and depending on the material, Cometo can confirm its suitability for larger diameters.

This model is available in two configurations:

• ASM single version, where all rollers are arranged in two rows on a single mounting plane
• ADM double version, consisting of two single planes assembled at 90° using a connection bracket.

One of the main advantages of the ASM/ADM wire straightener is the adjustability of rollers on both rows, ensuring a higher degree of straightening. Additionally, the quick eccentric opening system significantly reduces material changeover times.

It is available with 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, or 13 rollers, depending on the selected model.

Depending on the roller size, the ASM/ADM wire straightener can be equipped with different types of bearings:

• CA single-row ball bearings, suitable for wires with a maximum tensile strength of R = 600 N/mm².
• CAR2 double-row ball bearings, made from 100 Cr6 material, designed for wires with a maximum tensile strength of R = 800 N/mm².
• CAW double-row ball bearings in hardened steel, ideal for wires with a higher tensile strength ranging from R = 600 N/mm² to R = 2200 N/mm².

Additionally, digital position indicators can be installed on the ASM/ADM model, allowing the operator to precisely adjust the rollers. These indicators enable the exact roller positions to be recorded and reused for future processing of the same wire diameter.
