Wire straightener AS-AD

The AS/AD wire straightener is a highly versatile steel model, recommended for use on drawing lines before spooling and for applications requiring a satisfactory level of straightening. It is suitable for straightening wires with diameters ranging from 0.1 mm to 14.00 mm.

This model is available in two versions: the AS single version, where the rollers are arranged in two rows on a single mounting plane, and the AD double version, which consists of two single planes assembled at 90° using a connection bracket. Depending on customer needs, the AS/AD wire straightener is available with 5, 7, 9, 11, or 13 rollers.

Equipped with a quick eccentric opening system, it significantly reduces material changeover times and allows for adjustments on a single row of rollers.

Bearing Options for Different Wire Strengths

• CA & CAR Bearings (single-row ball bearings): Suitable for wires with a maximum tensile strength of R = 600 N/mm².
• CAW Bearings (double-row ball bearings in hardened steel): Ideal for wires with higher tensile strength (R = 600 N/mm² to R = 2200 N/mm²).

The AS/AD model is versatile, easy to use, and ensures a good level of straightening with minimal maintenance required. Cometo also offers the option to install digital position indicators, which assist the operator in adjusting the rollers. These indicators allow the exact roller positions to be recorded and reused later for processing the same wire diameter.
